EMDR Intensives
Resolve What’s Keeping You Stuck—Without Months of Waiting
EMDR intensives help you process and resolve the root experiences so they no longer hold you back.

What an EMDR Intensive Is
An EMDR intensive is a focused, extended session format designed to help you process and resolve specific experiences more efficiently.
Rather than 50-minute sessions, we work in longer, structured blocks over one or multiple days.
This allows us to:
Stay with the process instead of pausing mid-way
Move through stuck material more efficiently
Integrate change at a deeper level

Why Weekly Therapy Sometimes Isn’t Enough
Traditional therapy can help—but it often follows a pattern:
-
You open something up
-
You run out of time
-
You try to stabilize
-
Then wait a week to continue
That start-and-stop cycle can slow real progress.
EMDR intensives are different.
Instead of stretching the process over months, we create the space to work through it fully—without interruption in a matter of days.
This allows your brain and nervous system to:
-
Stay engaged in the process
-
Move through stuck material more efficiently
-
Integrate change at a deeper level

How This Fits Into Your Recovery
This isn’t a standalone “quick fix.”
It’s used intentionally within your recovery process.
EMDR intensives are most helpful when:
-
You feel stuck in a specific loop or trigger
-
You’ve made progress—but something isn’t fully shifting
-
You know there’s something deeper driving your reactions
-
You want uninterrupted time to address and resolve the root cause of your behavioral and emotional challenges
This is about removing what’s keeping the loop active so the rest of your work can actually take hold.
What We Focus On
During an intensive, we target:
-
Specific memories or experiences
-
Core beliefs (e.g., “I’m not safe,” “I’m not in control”, "it's my fault", "I should have known better", etc.)
-
Emotional patterns that keep repeating
-
Negative nervous system responses that feel automatic
This isn’t about analyzing everything.
It’s about helping your nervous system process and resolve what hasn’t been fully settled.
What the Process Looks Like
Each intensive is structured and personalized.
1. Pre-Intensive Preparation
We identify:
-
What you want to work on
-
Key patterns or trigger
-
The most effective targets for the session
You’ll also be prepared so your system feels safe and ready, not overwhelmed.
2. The IntensiveSession
This is where the deep work happens. We move through:
-
Targeted EMDR processing
-
Nervous system regulation
-
Helping everything come together as we go
Because we’re not stopping every 50 minutes, we can stay with the process until it actually shifts
3. Integration + Next Steps
After the session, we:
-
Make sense of what changed
-
Stabilize and let the work settle in
-
Map your next steps
This ensures the progress doesn’t just happen in-session— it carries into your daily life.
This is for you if:
-
You feel stuck in a recurring emotional or anxiety loop
-
You’ve done work already, but something isn’t resolving
-
You want to move forward more efficiently
-
You’re ready to engage in deeper processing
-
You have a full schedule but still want to do meaningful, focused inner work
This may not be the right fit if:
-
You’re looking for a quick fix without deeper work
-
You’re not ready to engage with underlying material
-
You need foundational stabilization first
Who This Is For

People often experience:
-
Reduced emotional intensity around specific triggers
-
Greater sense of internal safety
-
Increased clarity and perspective
-
Feeling more in control of how you respond
This doesn’t mean everything disappears overnight.
But it often creates a shift that allows real progress to happen.
